Friday, February 22, 2013 and running through Sunday, March 17, 2013
Lady Emma is betrothed to wicked Sir Cutbert Cleever, and determined to avoid a marriage worse than death, she flees with her maid in tow. With the dastardly Sir Cutbert, the king’s tax collector, hot on their heels, the damsel and her maid disguise themselves as nuns and seek refuge in the Abbey of the Little Sisters of St. Meade. They quickly discover that the sisters have troubles of their own, with a jive-talking Mother Abbess and Sir Cutbert threatening to take over the abbey in payment of past taxes. Can the clever but cowardly tailor, Norman the Chickenheart, who has fallen for the lady, come to her rescue? Will Lady Emma’s radical suggestion to put on a show to raise the tax money help free the sisters from their plight? And will Mother Abbess ever talk like a proper medieval nun again?
